About Project Shop Class

Project Shop Class is the inaugural fundraising campaign of the Construction Foundation of BC, which aims to encourage British Columbians to develop practical skills and to encourage students to pursue careers in the skilled trades.

After conducting research into the current gaps and needs in the apprenticeship and industry, the Foundation and its Advisory Committee chose to solicit applications from interested high school and school districts in BC who wished to receive grant funding to refit and support shop classes and improve trades training.

We would like to thank all individual and organizational donors, sponsors, and of course the teachers and administrators for their dedication to building skills in BC schools during our first round of fund development.  Our next round of development begins in fall 2016.

The Foundation’s charitable business number is: 83026 6300
